What Makes LSSx.0 Different

Traditional Lean Six Sigma applies the same DMAIC sequence to every problem, regardless of its nature or complexity. LSSx.0 stands apart by starting from an original typology of statistical problems: the standard applies a differentiated methodological approach depending on the type of problem being solved, proportionate to its complexity, so a practitioner takes the shortest path to a sustainable solution rather than running every case through an identical fixed cycle.

Methodology

LSSx.0's methodology does not start from a fixed set of phases. It starts from the type of problem being solved, then applies the depth of analysis and the toolkit that problem actually requires.

How LSSx.0 Classifies Problems

Tier 1

Foundational, Single-Cause Problems

A problem with one observable cause and low variability, solved by applying a known best practice or removing an obvious waste, no full statistical cycle required.

Tier 2

Structured, Multi-Factor Problems

A problem with several contributing factors, where the true driver has to be isolated from noise using structured root-cause analysis and a working statistical toolkit.

Tier 3

Complex, Cross-Functional Problems

A problem spanning multiple processes or functions, with interacting variables that require the full statistical toolkit and coordinated, cross-team work to resolve durably.

Tier 3

Structured, Multi-Factor Problems

A problem at the level of the methodology itself, a pattern recurring across projects, or the calibration of the approach other practitioners rely on.

Lean Practitioner and Yellow Belt

Address Tier 1 problems: applying known Lean practice and basic DMAIC awareness to visible, single-cause issues.

Green Belt

Addresses Tier 2 problems: leading structured, multi-factor root-cause work with a working statistical toolkit.

Black Belt

Addresses Tier 3 problems: leading complex, cross-functional work with the full statistical toolkit.

Master Black Belt
