Google API data privacy policy
Google API data privacy policy
This policy covers the internal keyword research application operated by Lean Six Sigma International (leansixsigma.org) and the data it receives from the Google Ads API. It complements our general privacy policy.
Who uses the application
The application is used only by Lean Six Sigma International staff, to plan the content of our own website. It is not available to the public or to clients.
Data we access
- An OAuth access and refresh token for our own company Google account, granted with the Google Ads scope.
- Keyword planning data from the Google Ads Keyword Planner: keyword ideas, historical monthly search volumes and competition levels.
We do not access personal data of any other Google user, and we do not access or modify campaign, billing or customer data.
How we use the data
Keyword data is used only to decide which topics and pages to create or improve on leansixsigma.org. It is not used for advertising targeting, profiling, or any other purpose.
Storage and security
The tokens and keyword data are stored on our own server in the European Union, accessible only to authorised staff behind authentication. Tokens are never shown in the interface or shared.
Sharing
We do not sell, share or transfer data received from Google APIs to any third party.
Limited Use
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Keyword data is kept for as long as it is useful for our website planning and is deleted when the integration is removed. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google account’s security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions), after which the stored tokens stop working and are deleted. Deletion requests: it@leansixsigma.org.
